Originally published in October 29th, 2025, in our Gaming Room channel, Mega Man Dreams is a video/playlist where I’ve put together a selection of synthwave songs—evoking nostalgia and/or cyberpunk themes—to accompany scenes from some Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch (MM8BDM) matches played by our friend mendHigor.

These are royalty-free tracks that can be used in other projects (provided the conditions/licenses are respected), including your Doom mods. It’s also an experiment: if this “album” format is successful, I’ll continue the Lost Doom Tapes video series, both to diversify the content, to make you come back and listen to the songs again, and to promote the work, whether it’s mods, fun channels like mendHigor’s, or the tracks themselves.

Regarding Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch, for those who don’t know, it’s a multiplayer mod for Doom developed by CutmanMike that brings, in the best possible way, the elements of the 8-bit Mega Man games to the id Software’s first-person shooter. The VHS effect used in the video is from a mod made by Lolo_is_cool & Ral22.
